About this treatment

What peptides actually do.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules — instructions your body already understands, used to nudge specific systems: tissue repair and recovery, deeper sleep, metabolic function and body composition, skin and hair quality, cognitive sharpness, and the broader longevity picture. Different peptides speak to different systems, which is why there's no one-size-fits-all stack — the protocol follows the goal, never the other way around.

One honest note about this page: we intentionally don't publish a fixed peptide menu. The compounding-pharmacy landscape shifts constantly — which peptides are available, from which licensed pharmacies, under which regulations, can genuinely change month to month — and we'd rather adjust the roster responsibly than promise a list that's out of date by the time you read it. The current answer is always one phone call away: tell us your goal, and we'll tell you what we can prescribe for it right now.

The program itself doesn't change: it starts with a consultation covering your health history and goals, labs when warranted, and an honest conversation about whether peptide therapy is even the right tool — sometimes the better answer is IV therapy, vitamin injections, a referral, or nothing at all. If hair thinning is the specific goal, PRF hair restoration is usually the more direct tool, and we'll say so rather than sell you a peptide protocol that works around the edges of it. If we do prescribe, you'll leave knowing exactly how to self-inject (most peptides use an insulin-sized needle), what to expect week by week, and when we'll check in. Most protocols show measurable change in 4–12 weeks, and we adjust based on how you respond rather than auto-renewing.

A meaningful share of our peptide patients arrive with hormone-adjacent goals — energy, libido, body composition, perimenopause-era sleep and mood shifts. We approach those conversations clinically: labs first, screening always, and a plan that might be peptides alone, a combined plan with another specialist, or a different path entirely. Patients specifically interested in weight loss usually belong in our GLP-1 weight management program — GLP-1s are themselves peptides, but they run under their own medically supervised protocol with monthly bloodwork.

Sourcing is where we're strictest, because it's where the online peptide world is weakest. Everything we prescribe comes from licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies with third-party testing — never gray-market research chemicals — and we screen for contraindications before anything is prescribed. It's a big part of why patients drive to us from across Greater New Haven, from Cheshire and Wallingford to the shoreline, instead of ordering from a website that ships to anyone.

Best for
  • Athletes working on recovery
  • Patients with sleep or circadian issues
  • Supporting skin and hair regeneration
  • Patients seeking hormonal balance and metabolic support
  • Longevity-focused patients
Areas treated
  • Systemic (injected subcutaneously, typically abdomen)
Who's a good candidate

Generally healthy adults with a specific, nameable goal — recovery, sleep, body composition, skin and hair, or energy — who want clinician oversight rather than an internet protocol. We screen health history and run labs when warranted before prescribing anything.

Possible side effects

Varies by peptide, which is exactly why supervision matters. The most common effects are mild injection-site redness or irritation. We review the specific profile of anything we prescribe with you before you start, and you always have a direct line to us if something feels off.

Aftercare

Rotate injection sites as trained, store your prescription refrigerated as directed, and keep your follow-up cadence — dose adjustments are driven by how you actually respond, not a fixed calendar.
