A typical Mermaid Facial appointment takes about 45 minutes to an hour from start to finish. We start by cleansing your skin and applying a topical numbing cream for about 20 minutes to keep you comfortable. The actual treatment portion takes around 20 to 30 minutes, during which your provider uses a micro-stamping device to infuse the biostimulating serum into your skin. Most clients describe the sensation as mild prickling or tingling. It's very well tolerated, and the numbing does most of the work.

Downtime is minimal. You may have some mild redness or a slight pink flush right after, similar to a light sunburn, which usually fades within a few hours to a day. A few small pinpoint marks from the micro-stamping can be visible briefly but settle quickly. Most clients go right back to their normal routine. We recommend skipping makeup for the rest of the day, avoiding intense workouts, saunas, and direct sun for 24 to 48 hours, and holding off on retinol and strong actives for a few days. Sunscreen is essential during healing.
