Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal works by delivering concentrated light energy into the hair follicle, where it's absorbed by pigment and converted to heat. That heat damages the follicle enough to prevent future hair growth without harming the surrounding skin. Because hair grows in cycles and the laser only targets follicles in the active growth phase, a series of treatments is needed to catch every hair at the right time. Most clients see significant reduction after the first few sessions, with smoother, longer-lasting results building over the full treatment plan.

Laser hair removal can be done almost anywhere on the body, including the face, underarms, arms, chest, back, stomach, bikini line, legs, and more. It's a great option for anyone tired of shaving, waxing, or plucking, and for those who deal with ingrown hairs or irritation from traditional hair removal methods. Modern lasers are safe and effective for a wide range of skin tones and hair types, though the treatment works best on hair with enough pigment for the laser to target. During your consultation, we'll look at your skin, hair, and goals to make sure it's the right fit and map out a plan for the areas you want treated.

A typical appointment can take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the area. Smaller areas like the upper lip or underarms are quick, while larger areas like the legs or back take longer. The sensation is often described as a warm snap against the skin, similar to a rubber band. Our lasers have built in cooling to keep you comfortable, and most clients tolerate the treatment really well without any numbing needed.

For the best results, most people need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, though this varies based on the area being treated and your individual hair growth. Hormonal areas like the face and bikini line sometimes need a few extra sessions or occasional maintenance down the road. You'll start noticing less hair, slower regrowth, and finer texture after just a few appointments.

There's very little downtime with laser hair removal. Some redness and mild swelling around the follicles is normal right after treatment and usually goes away within a few hours. You'll want to avoid sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours after each session, and sunscreen is a must between treatments since sun exposure can affect how well the laser works and increase the risk of irritation. Shaving is fine between appointments, but waxing, plucking, and threading should be avoided since they remove the follicle the laser needs to target.

Laser hair removal isn't recommended if you're pregnant, have an active skin infection in the treatment area, or are using certain medications that increase light sensitivity.
