Skinfill Bacio is a lip treatment from Promoitalia, the same Italian aesthetics company behind the Mermaid Facial. It's often called an "internal lip gloss" because unlike traditional lip filler, it's not designed to add significant volume or change the shape of your lips. Instead, Skinfill Bacio works by delivering a powerful combination of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B12 into the lips and the area around them to deeply hydrate, restore lost moisture, and bio-restructure the tissue from within. The result is softer, smoother, healthier looking lips with a subtle, natural plumpness that actually looks like great lips instead of done lips.

The science behind Skinfill Bacio is what makes it different. The hyaluronic acid in the formula is non-cross-linked, meaning it behaves differently than the HA in traditional fillers. Instead of staying put in one spot to create volume, it spreads through the tissue, binds water, and deeply hydrates the lips from the inside. The Vitamin B12 component supports cellular renewal, collagen production, and healing, while also improving microcirculation to give your lips a healthier color and glow. Together, the two ingredients work to strengthen the lip tissue, smooth out fine lines, and restore the natural fullness that gets lost with age, sun exposure, smoking, and everyday life.

Skinfill Bacio is a great option for a lot of different clients. It's perfect if you want softer, more hydrated, naturally fuller lips without the look of traditional filler. It's also ideal for anyone dealing with perioral lines (those fine lines that form around the mouth), dry or chapped lips that never seem to fully heal, loss of lip definition, or faded lip color. It's commonly used on its own, before or alongside traditional filler to prep the tissue and extend filler longevity, or as a middle ground for clients who want a little something without committing to filler. It also pairs beautifully with the Mermaid Facial since they come from the same product line.

A typical Skinfill Bacio appointment takes about 30 to 45 minutes. We start by cleansing the area and applying a topical numbing cream for about 15 to 20 minutes to keep you comfortable. The treatment can be delivered two ways, either through small, precise injections or using a lip stamping or microneedling technique that creates tiny channels to infuse the product evenly across the lips and perioral area. Both methods are very well tolerated, and most clients describe the sensation as mild prickling or tingling. It's quick, gentle, and doesn't come with the pressure or squeeze of traditional lip filler.

Downtime is minimal. You may notice some mild swelling, redness, or tiny bumps at the injection points right after treatment, but these usually settle within a few hours to a day. Some light bruising can show up occasionally but fades quickly. Your lips might feel slightly tender for 24 hours, and we recommend avoiding hot drinks, spicy foods, lipstick, intense workouts, saunas, and alcohol for the first day or two. Try not to touch or massage the area so the product can distribute and absorb evenly.

Results build gradually. You'll notice softer, more hydrated lips within a few days, and the real glow up shows up over the next 1 to 2 weeks as the hyaluronic acid integrates and the Vitamin B12 stimulates cellular renewal. Your lips will look plumper, smoother, and better defined, with fine perioral lines softening over time. For the best results, we recommend a series of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart. Once you've finished your initial series, maintenance treatments every 2 to 3 months keep your lips looking their best, though results from a full series can last up to 6 to 12 months depending on your skin and lifestyle.

Skinfill Bacio isn't recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active cold sore or skin infection in the treatment area, have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or Vitamin B12, or have certain autoimmune conditions. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know during your consultation so we can pre-treat with antiviral medication to prevent a flare.
