Healthy adults over 21, not pregnant or breastfeeding, with realistic expectations. Patients with active cold sores should delay lip treatment.
Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are common and resolve within a few days. In rare cases, small lumps or slight asymmetry can occur — and are easily addressed at a follow-up visit.
Ice on-and-off for 24 hours. Sleep elevated the first night. Avoid heavy exercise and alcohol for 48 hours. Avoid dental work and vaccinations for 2 weeks.
